Student librarians help select new books for the LRC

10 student librarians from Years 7 to 10 accompanied LRC coordinator, Vikki Gilzean, and Head of English, Fiona Clark, on a book buying trip to Kinokuniya at Dubai Mall.

Ms Gilzean said,

Student librarians who help out in the LRC show real commitment and responsibility by carrying out duties during their break and lunch times. The trip, which included a lunch at the Mall, was a reward for all their hard work. Involving the student librarians in choosing new books as well as using student suggestion slips are great ways to ensure that the LRC has books that are relevant and current to students’ interests. This is vital in encouraging reading for pleasure.”

Assault course plans approved by council

DSC 05941At the last Council Meeting, members approved the plans for THE TRAIL الدرب, a Level 1 National Service-style assault course designed specifically for the needs of all RSB students, preparing to train for their National Service.
